Delara Noushin to Iran Theater:

I’m translating two new plays

Iran Theater- Delara Nooshin is an actress, director, translator and theater researcher.

She said in an interview with Iran Theater about her new activities: "These days, when the  new wave coronavirus has closed the halls, like many other social activities, I am doing research and translation." I am currently researching the joint performance of the play with some foreign theater friends from Argentina, Brazil, Britain and the United States. The roots of this cooperation go back to my attendance at a conference in South Korea where I represented Iran. This conference is in the field of theater market and its main task is to provide platforms for theaters to work abroad. Our meetings are held in the form of video conferences as a group or in pairs, and our efforts are focused on performing an intercultural show, and in the discussion of writing the text, we look at the myths of each country.”

She continued: In previous years, I has less opportunity for translation becaue of teaching and my other jobs. During this time I am translating the play LP by Beth Henley, which is a number of female monologues. A play that addresses the concerns of women from all walks of life. In this work, Henley's psychological perspective is the main basis of the work. I hope to be able to perform this play on stage with the end of pandemic.”

Referring to her other translation entitled "Dreams", the director clarified: "Apart from translating the play" L P", I am also translating the play" Dreams "and it is about a person who sleeps and in his sleep, things happen to him that he realizes when he wakes up. These things have happened really to him.”
