Aiming to identify new talents
The first Playwriting City of the Sun Festival will be held
Iran Theater- The first Playwriting City of the Sun Festival is organized by the "Parparok" theater group, the Avae Sahneh Afaringan Institute of Bandar Deir, and with the participation of the Bushehr Governor's Office of Social and Cultural Affairs.
This festival is held with the aim of identifying new talents of Iranian dramatic literature and encouraging them to write works with local and social themes.
Other goals of the "City of the Sun" playwriting festival include the following:
- Helping to raise the level of playwriting in the country
- Publishing more plays to be used in performances and introducing them to prominent directors in the country
Subjects of the plays should be about A) Social, family,This festival is institutionalized to protect the family and its impact on social relations, and therefore our priority is the following topics:
1. Social harms (poverty, addiction, child labor, divorce, violence, etc.)
2. Family and social vitality (indigenous customs of the country's cities in the face of ancient and Islamic holidays, celebrations, local indigenous games, etc.)
3. Education (The role of school in the education of children and adolescents…)
B) Free topics: The author is free to choose the subject outside the priorities of the festival, and this section is to support the palywtright who write the play based on their worldview and imagination.
