Street theater artists came to the aid of the health staff

Iran Theater- Qader Ashna, Director General of Performing Arts Center, sent a message to the 15th Marivan International Street Theater Festival.

He wrote:"In recent months, the theater, like all sections of social life, has endured very special conditions due to the outbreak of the dreadful coronavirus, a  condition which may not has been experienced before.

Due to the pandemic, one of the main pillars of theatrical art, which was the direct connection with the audience, was greatly overshadowed. Apart from all the inevitable difficulties of this global epidemic, what is a source of pride and pride was the presence and creation of worthy  stage artists in compliance with all health principles and preventive recommendations.”

he added:” one of the special advantages of the artists in this critical period was the wise and up-to-date use of the latest methods of communication by artists and creative thinkers and adapting the plays to the specific conditions of the disease outbreak in order to maintain communication with the citizens. “

 

“ Due to the special,  the street theater artists have increased their communication with the audience and the people of the society, and with a correct and timely understanding of the situation, came to the aid of the respected medical staff in many of their productions. They provided a special way to raise public awareness and in many of their productions, they tried to strengthen collective spirit of the citizens and compatriots and to promote hope and vitality in the society. Bravo!”

 

I hope that the 15th edition of the Marivan Street Theater  Festival will cause happy events stage community , honorable street theater artists, and art-loving citizens of Kurdistan and Marivan.”
