"The Lie of the Resurrection" at the Shahrzad Theater Complex
Iran Theater- The show "Lie of the Resurrection" dramaturgy and direction by Taha Mohammadi will be staged in Shahrzad Theater from November 16th.
It’s based on Arthur Miller’s Resurrection Blues.
Resurrection Blues (2002) is Arthur Miller's penultimate play. Though Miller was not known for his humor, this play uses a pointed comedic edge to intensify his observations about the dangers, as well as the benefits, of blind belief: political, religious, economic and emotional.
Davood Daneshvar translated and Taha Mohammadi dramatized it. Raika Ramezani and Shaghayegh Sayyah produce it, and Bita Alemi, is one of the cast and the assistant producer.
