Abdul Maleki was a base for puppet theater in Kurdistan

Iran Theater- Following the death of Mohammad Ali Abdolmaleki, a veteran theater and puppet artist and the head of the Kurdistan Province UNIMA, Dr. Ardeshir Salehpour, the head of the Iran UNIMA, wrote a note and it’s published exclusively on the Iran Theater website.
He wrote:
Mohammad Ali Abdolmaleki, a theater artist from Kurdistan province and the director of UNIMA, died after a long illness, leaving the Iranian puppet theater family in mourning. He had a special interest in puppetry and devoted his life to this field and was considered a base for puppet theater in that province. He also dedicated part of his residence and home to this art and devoted his life to this field.
His efforts in forming a puppet show and working with welfare clients in the city of Qarveh were memorable, and in Sardasht and Baneh cities, he had a good influence and made development of puppet show. The holding of a national seminar of the International Union of Iranian Puppet Performers in Sanandaj was organized due to his efforts, and since then, he has also accompanied and cooperated as a cultural consultant.
