Farhad Ghaemian:

Arvand is full of original regional subjects

Iran Theater- Farhad Ghaemian, who was a jury at the 5th Arvand Free Zone Theater Festival, at the closing ceremony of the festival, asked young artists to borrow ideas from their homeland to produce works and to stage Arvand's untold stories.

He pointed to the lack of suitable space for theatrical activities in the region and added: "After years since the end of the war, this oppressed region has not yet been rebuilt as it should be and has some deprivations." Theater artists also live under these conditions and do not have enough space and equipment, we owe this land and we have to do something for them. As a first step, it is necessary to build standard and suitable halls for performing plays in the Arvand region. There are active and creative artists in this area whose lack of facilities is detrimental to their progress. I ask all the officials to equip theater halls in this area or, if possible, to build new halls or plateaus so that the artists can produce their works in better conditions and with peace of mind.”

He said: Arvand is full of original and pure regional subjects. Borrow from yourself and your land to produce works. Use the ideas that exist in the community, address social and political issues. This region is full of untold stories that you, as its people, have a duty to tell the world. Expand your creativity, ideas and plans, study and research about it, and when it reaches a reliable and defensible point. Share your plans and plays with professors and administrators for guidance. As in the Red Palm project, this project was well supported and executed.”
