Theater photographers are professional ones
Iran Theater- According to Abbas Kowsari, the jury member of the photo section in 40th Fadjr International Theater Festival, the quality of the photos participating in the festival was good and acceptable, but due to the prevalence of pandemic and the decrease in the number of works on stage, the photos were less varied than before.
Abbas Kowsari, said: "I have been working with the Fadjr Theater Festival as a jury for many years, and this has enabled me to get an accurate perspective on the attendance of photographers and the quality of their works. »
Referring to the number of works applied for participation in the festival, Kowsari said: "According to the statistics ,110 photographers sent 521 photos to the secretariat and applied for participation in this section. 50 photographers with 70 works are present in the photo exhibition section. Despite the unfavorable conditions of the theater due to the pandemic and the frequent closure of theaters, this proves that the number of works applied for participation in this section did not decrease and was well received by photographers. The reception of the photography section was as good as in previous edition by provincial photographers."
Kowsari says that the most prominent feature was black background in many photographs, and in these photographs there are rarely theatrical staging, and this shows that theatrical groups tried to stage the plays with the least facilities."
