Hossein Mosafer Astaneh:
The high reception of the artists disrupted the programs
Iran Theater- It seems that the planning of the 40th FITF is not very appropriate and it is hoped that a solution will be found in the coming days.
At the end of March of 2020, Hossein Mosafer Astaneh was appointed as the secretary and member of the policy-making council of the 40th Fadjr Theater Festival by the order of Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini, Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture and Islamic Guidance. He was also the secretary of the 39th edition of the festival. Mosafer Astaneh is also the secretary of the 24th and 27th FITF, and with four years of experience as a secretary, he can be named as one of the most experienced directors of Fadjr International Theater Festival.
The call for the 40th Fadjr Theater Festival was published more than six months ago (July 12 ,2020) and the call for three sections :exhibition of posters, photos and radio theater competitions was published in late October.
According to the call, the line-up for the stage, street and other performance sections should have been announced on December 16th, but until today, one month after this deadline and less than twenty days before the start of the festival, the line-ups have not been announced. According to the call, the deadline for announcing the line-up for radio theater section was January 6, but it was announced on January 15.
Mosafer-Astaneh said: "Due to the large volume of works received by the festival secretariat and the reception of this edition, the secretariat's plans have been delayed."
He spoke about the short duration of the rehearsals of the theater groups, considering the short time left until the 40th Fadjr Theater Festival.
"Since the shows have already been performed, one week of rehearsals is enough to perform the plays."
