Milad Molavai to Iran Theater:
I watch closely street shows

Iran Theater- Milad Molavi has been writing and directing theater for many years and has worked in various positions in the General Directorate of Performing Arts, especially in various national and international festivals.
He gained more experience in holding festivals when he was selected as the secretary of the University Theater Festival, and with the secretary of various festivals, his experiences increased day by day.
This year, he is a member of the selection committee for street performances of the 40th Fadjr Theater Festival. We had a conversation with him about how to choose the shows and the charms of attending this section of the festival.
He explained his criteria for selecting 20 shows for competitive street theater section.
“Each element of the structure for a street show has a special place in the shape of a good show. The overall structure of the show is evaluated, not a specific section. These criteria include acting, directing style, technique, structure, performance form, play content and idea. A show that has all of these features is definitely will be accepted. I, along with my other colleagues carefully monitored the applicant's shows during these days so that the deserving ones could be on the lineup .”
One of the important points of the street part of the festival is the large presence of county directors. He believed in the effective and powerful presence of county directors.
“The county directors have always had effective and successful presence at the Fadjr Theater Festival, and I believe that there is no difference between Tehran and other city directors, and all street theater artists are members of the same community and have unity and empathy in all matters.”
20 shows in the competitive section and 8 works in the non-competitive section will be performed in the street sections at the 40th FITF.
He said:” These 8 works are present as guests in this section, and the festival secretariat considered these plays that did not fill in the administrative process and related forms in the guest and non-competitive section.”
