Iran Theater- “Chehel Dokhtar Mountain” and “Coffin”, two Afghan shows come on stage in the 40th Fadjr International Theater Festival.
Emadeddin Tajik has co-written “Chehel Dokhtar Mountain” with Ahmad Atai and Amir Hossein Alemi based on an epic story from the Uruzgan region in Afghanistan.
The story takes place almost a century ago when an army led by Abdur Rahman was sent by the central government, a mere puppet of Britain, to take the control of the Uruzgan region. Hundreds of people were brutally killed and abused by Abdur Rahman’s soldiers.
A girl namely Shirin forms a small group of 47 Hazara girls to put up resistance to the invaders. They take shelter on the Shehpar Mountains. The army lays siege to the mountain to capture the group. To preserve their honor and dignity, the girls finally throw themselves down the mountain after a seven-day fight. The mountains were later renamed “Chehel Dokhtaran Mountains” (Forty-Girl Mountains).
Iran Theater-The 42nd Fadjr International Theater Festival wrapped up successfully on February 1, 2024 in Vahdat Hall.
At the beginning of the ceremony the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance , Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili, went on stage and while congratulating Ten-Day Fajr ceremonies and the the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the Rajab, month, he thanked the artists and theater officials.
Iran Theater- One of the most important efforts of Dramatic Arts Center of Iran is to consider the theater as a powerful tool to promote cultural diplomacy, which is done with performance, education and research.
Iran Theater- The director of the show "Happiness in Odessa" , Reza Shahkarmi stated that the play offers an enlightening picture of human and social interactions in dealing with problems.
Iran Theater-The the director of "Anfal" street show , Kajal Rastin described her works as a story of the pains and sufferings of women and children who were caught in the cruel wars of the region.
Iran Theater- The musical show "Resurrection of Love" is at out of competition section of the 42nd Fadjr International Theater Festival. Hossein Mosafer Astaneh said the story begins with the scene of Rumi's dying, but he comes back to life.
Iran Theater-Amir Hamed considered his latest work as anti-war story that promotes the message of peace .The stage show "Wind, soil, blood are in my arms" is a production of Gilan province.
Iran Theater- Amir Amini said that the play deals with environmental problems and introduces the audience to the wildlife rangers who were killed and the future of our land.
Iran Theater- Kamran Shahlaei’s"A Few Messy Narratives", is performing at Fadjr stage Competition. He says that the play is about loneliness and has three episodes. The cast includes one male actor and three female actors.
Iran Theater- A Video- installation Romeo Castellucci’s “The Third Reich” from Italy will be played online on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Iranshahr Theater Hall. And a web press conference will be held with the director.
