Provincial artists are progressive

 

He said: Provincial theater artists have been in a state of shock since the end of the year 2019, when the world became embroiled in this great pandemic and found themselves in a vague and incomprehensible situation, like a purgatory. Under these circumstances, the task of the General Directorate of Performing Arts was to give  hope to the artists. In a situation where the halls were closed and the country was involved in a nationwide closure, it was not even possible for artists to rehearse. We have pursued a policy that, despite all the incidents and closures; Do not stop the process of holding and performing theater. In meetings with the General Manager and experts; The problems ahead were expressed and the artists were given the opportunity to attend the festival in accordance with the existing conditions. For example, if the work did not reach the public; There was no obstacle for them to attend the festival. Because unfortunately; In some cases, even if the group was ready to perform, the Corona headquarters in its province would not allow  them to perform. We tried to manage the situation so that the artists could attend the festival with different conditions.”


 He spoke about the position of theater in the provinces: “Most of the stage artists living in Tehran have come to Tehran from the provinces. Cities have a large share in the capital's theater. The theater is the center of everything the cities have. Master Ali Nasirian, the late Ezatollah Entezami, The late  Jamshid Mashayekhi,  late Parviz Pour Hosseini, late  Hamid Samandarian, M Bahram Beizai and ... these are pionners of art. City groups are demanding and very desirable. They have even expanded their international relations, sometimes they invite the jury  from abroad and participating in world festivals. These are facts that they are doing better than the current activists in the capital. The theater in cities  is very leading and the shows of the provinces is much richer and  there are more talented  artists than  in Tehran.
