The serious crisis is the lack of attention to Iranian culture

Iran Theater-The show "The House is Black" directed by Mohsen Ardeshir began on the Sunday Feb.19 with the presence of a number of famous theater artists of and a speech by Qhotbedin Sadeghi in the main hall of the City Theater Complex.

Ghotbedin Sadeghi said: Mohsen Ardeshir is one of the active theater artists outside the capital who has always had a lot of perseverance and effort in the field of theater, and this is a respectable fact that he and his group should be congratulated on continuing this path.”
 

Ghotbedin Sadeghi is an Iranian theatre director, playwright, stage and film actor, and arts instructor. He is also known as a prominent scholar of Iranian arts and culture. Sadeghi established Honar Theater Group in early 80's which is referred to as one of the most serious and artistic theater groups in Iran. His theatrical productions's fame is beholden to Mostafa Abdollahi and Michael Shahrestani who played the leading roles in his plays.

Sadeghi added: "Unfortunately, the lack of attention to Iranian culture has become a serious crisis in our country's theater and the indecent performance of Western works is conquering theater stages, and this is a serious mission for stage artists who can preserve Iranian culture by staging Iranian plays. Share your efforts. Anyway, I am glad that Mohsen Ardeshir, as a director, has staged an important play and has been able to have a new career to say in accordance with Iranian culture. There are  Circumstances that persuaded me to watch the first performance of "The House is Black" with the utmost pleasure today.”

 

"The House is Black" is a play about the life, poems and works of Forough Farrokhzad, written, designed and directed by Mohsen Ardeshir and produced by Mehdi Karimpour, which will be staged for 60 minutes in the main hall of the City  Theater  Complex until the mid of March at 7:00 PM.
