Ali Nassirian: Esmail Shangaleh was one of my close friend

Iran Theater- Ali Nassirian, a veteran theater, cinema and television actor, called Esmail Shangaleh one of his closest friends and expressed his sorrow over the death of this vereran artist who died on Friday evening of July 16 due to the covid-19.
Esmail Shangaleh was one of the veteran actors of Iranian cinema and theater who had worked with Iranian new wave filmmakers. He was one of the first group of theater artists who joined the Department of Dramatic Arts in the late 50’s.
Ali Nassirian is one of Shangleh's old friends and colleagues who, like him, started his career in private theater groups and continued in the state department of dramatic arts. In an interview with Iran Theater, he paid tribute to Esmail Shangaleh.
Nassirian explained that Esmail Shangaleh was one of his lovely colleagues in the theater administration, "In the late 1950s and early 1960s, I worked with him in several tele-theaters that I directed and were broadcast on state television.
“He was an artist educated in the field of theater directing from the Vienna Academy of Performing Arts, and after returning, he directed the play "Colomp" and I played a role in it. Esmail Shangaleh was one of my dear friends and I am very saddened by his death
