Mehr Hall to Host Anton Chekhov’s Bear

Iran Theater-The on-act show “Bear” by Anton Chekov comes on stage in Tehran.
The show "Bear" directed by Reza Gilanpour will be have reading performance on July 23 at Mehr Hall in Hoze Honari.
The Bear: A Joke in One Act, or The Boor is a one-act comedic play written by Russian author Anton Chekhov. The play was originally dedicated to Nikolai Nikolaevich Solovtsov, Chekhov's boyhood friend and director/actor who first played the character Smirnov.
Reza Gilanpour, the director of the Laughter in the Scene program, explained the program: " The Bear by Antoine Chekhov is supposed to be the last programm of the Laughter in the Scene, which is dedicated to reading comedy plays. Farhad Besharti, Farajollah Golsefidi, Fariba Dastvareh will be the performers.”
In this program, Amir Dejakam will take a special look at reading performance and talk about what play reading is.
Gilanpour added: "Bear will be read at 17:30 on July 23 in Mehr Hall.”
He continued: "As usual, we will have public performance and we invite those interested to read a few lines of the play ."
