The audience's reception is promising

She has previously appeared as an actress in shows such as "Madea Sen Madar", " The Cherry Orchard", "Don Camillo", "Flying in the Dark", "Neil Simon's 33%".

 

She has acted in "Biography of a Game" directed by Bourjin Abdolrazzaghi, which is on stage at the fourth wall theater.

 

During the last year and after the partial control of the pandemic, she was also present as a director's consultant in the show "A Midsummer Night's Dream" which was performed from last year in the Iranshahr Theater Complex.

 

 

Elika talks about the pandemic and its impact on the show and the lives of theater artists.

“Unfortunately, good things did not happen to the theater during the height of the pandemic. Before the pandemic, we were engaged in rehearsing the performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" with the student of the academy.

The show was ready when halls were closed due to pandemic and the show was postponed for six months. It was very difficult to keep the cast and rehearse again. The theaters suffered a lot of financial pressure and the stage artists who make their living from the shows suffered a lot.

Elika believes in good advertising to attract viewers. She says that good advertising is one of the most important things that lead to audience attendance in theaters. If Tehran Municipality and TV cooperate with artists for extensive advertising, we will definitely have no problem with performance and sales.

 

After the nationwide vaccination and the reopening of halls, Abdolrazzaghi describes the audience's reception of the show as good. She says, I didn't think that people who are not art lovers have so much love for theater.

 

She positively evaluates the interaction of the Ministry of Guidance with artists. The interaction of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance with artists is definitely very effective, because every activity requires management. Basically, artists should not spend their time getting involved in funding and a thousand other things to perform. Certainly, the problems of the theater community will be solved if the interaction with the artists is continuous, the conditions can be prepared so that the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and other government officials can meet more closely and easily.
