It must be evacuated

Ghotbedin Sadeghi is an Iranian theatre director, playwright, stage and film actor, and arts instructor. He is also known as a prominent scholar of Iranian arts and culture. He is director of "Shanoo" Hall as well.

 

He talked about the condition of this private hall and the complaint of the owner for the evacuation of this cultural and artistic place.

 Ghotbedin Sadeghi said that the owner of the property has warned me that he will evict us from the first day of next month and he has filed a complaint with the court.

He explained about the Shanoo Hall : it has been six years since the Shanoo Hall has started in this place, although the first year  we repairs and renovated and the hall was launched. The hall was shut down for 22 months due to pandemic. This hall has been in its rented location for almost 3 years, but I have paid the rent for the last six years.

Shanoo Hall director complains about the increase in rent that even if he works three shifts continuously, he cannot pay this amount.

 

Qotbeddin Sadeghi has turned to many people for support and help, but he has been unsuccessful: I asked everyone for help, but no one helped. I am under so much financial pressure that I have no sleep or food. I wrote letters to all wealthy people and institutions, but nothing happened. I am completely messed up mentally.

 

He has prepared the show blood wedding but as he said “This situation has left us completely confused and indecisive.”
