Iran is my homeland

Iran Theater- Abdul-Moman Sharifi acts in the show "Derafsh Kaviani" from Tajikistan, which was on stage in Iran.

On the second day of Tajikistan’s cultural week, the show "Derafsh Kaviani" directed by Nazem Malek, a Tajik artist, was performed.

 

Abdul-Moman Sharifi considered the cultural and artistic relations between the two countries necessary due to the existence of a common language and culture and revealed that he loves Iran like his homeland.

Abdol-Moman Sharifi, a professor at the Art University of Tajikistan, actor and assistant director of the show "Derafsh Kaviani" talked about the show that it’s based on the stories of Shahnameh.

 "The play "Darfesh Kaviani" was based on the stories of the Shahnameh and was designed and directed by Nazem Malek. This work narrates the period of the kingdom of Jamshid to the period of the kingdom of Fereydon and his war with Zahhak, the snake shoulder.”

He said that the director of the show was unable to accompany the group due to Parkinson's disease,

 "The show won the first prize for director at the Kazakhstan Theater Festival a few years ago, and it’s the second international performance. Unfortunately, the director   was unable to accompany the group due to Parkinson's disease."

 

This is his sixteenth trip to Iran: "Over the past years, I have performed many shows as an actor or director on the stage of Iranian Halls. One of my most important performances was the show "Rostam and Sohrab" directed by Sultan Usmanov at the 27th Fadjr International Theater Festival.”

 

He continued: "We will have a trip to Shiraz in the coming days. Of course, the schedule of the show in this city has not been announced yet, but if possible, the show will be performed in Shiraz city.”

He believes that cultural and artistic exchange between the two countries of Tajikistan and Iran, which share the same language and culture, is necessary..
