Hadi Marzban:
I hope that television has rules for the production of teletheater

Iran Theater-Hadi Marzban, the veteran stage director, expressed his hope that the television will have rules for the production of tele-theater.
Hadi Marzban, born in 1945, Sabzevar, is an Iranian theater director and actor. During the last four decades, he has directed dozens of stage and tele-theater in his career.
Although Marzban is still active in the theater, , in the spring of 1401, he brought on stage the play "Dr. Noon loved his wife more than Mossadegh" on the main hall of Tehran City Theater Complex, but he has been away from television for more than a decade and has not done anything. Regarding the launch of the Simorgh Center in I.R.I.B, which is supposed to produce tele-theater, Iran Theater interviewed him about it.
Since the 1980s, you have been directing teletheaters on television, and in the 2000’s, this activity expanded further. But the era of booming television shows ended and you didn't produce any more work. Why?
You should ask this to I.R.I.B directors and not to me. For any work, platforms must be provided, unfortunately, television has neglected teletheater for years, and even during the pandemic, due to the closure of halls, It was the best time to prosper in the production of teletheater, when I.R.I.B was still passive.
Did you follow up production of teletheater during pandemic?
Yes. About three years ago and during pandemic in Iran, I made a proposal for the production of teletheaters to the general director of Performing Arts Center to cooperate with television, but despite my follow-up, this attempt was unsuccessful. Of course, television did not show interest in teletheater production for years.
But the Simorgh center has recently been launched as a platform for the production of teletheater, which can be effective in introducing theater to families?
First of all, I have to say that I am hearing the good news about the establishment of the Simorgh Center from you for the first time and I am very happy about it and I hope that this project will continue and be successful. Anyway, theater is one of the pillars of culture and art that can change the society. We can solve any problem in the society by theater, and it requires introducing this art to the audience.
In the 60, great masters such as Ali Nasirian, Jamshid Mashayekhi, Jafar Vali and other artists performed live theater once a week on TV, which made people interested and aware of this art. Certainly, the production of teletheater will have a special contribution in introducing this sublime art to the people nowadays.
?What is the important difference between teletheater and stage performance
In directing a teletheater, it is important to present the image in the right frame to the audience, and for this purpose, the television director transmits only a part of the images to the audience with the choice of the artistic director.
?With the launch of Simorgh Center, are you ready to work on TV again
If I have an offer to direct teletheater, I will accept it 100%, because I believe that teletheater is the best way to introduce theater to people.
I hope that there is a rule in television for producing teletheater, And in order to make this art as effective as possible in the society, by inviting experienced people, the work should be entrusted to the experts so that we can witness the revival of this art.
