Ali Khodsiani on "I am a woman"
It is a monologue to challenge the player's ability

Iran Theater-Ali Khodsiani, playwright, producer and theater director, started writing in the 90s.
"Mashin-neshinha", "After a Show", "Common Pain", "A House of Sand and Fog" and "Always Happy Wives" are some of his plays.
The series "Duniya Shirin Darya" written by Khodsiani and directed by Behrouz Baghaie is one of the most memorable TV series for children and teenagers, which was broadcast on I.R.I.B 1 channel in the 90’s.
His new plays called "I am a Woman" is on stage in the Shahrezad City Theater Complex.
Khodsiani believes that "Woman is the central theme of this show. As if all women are one person from the beginning of creation and are born in a different body every time. The show is the life of three women from mythology, history and contemporary period. The first story is about Tahmina , a woman from the myth and the bereaved mother of Sohrab, then the life of Malek-Nesa, a woman from history as the wife of Amir Kabir, a politician who settled Iran but did not pay attention to her husband will narrate , and final story is about a girl from Afghanistan as one of the girls of the Middle East who is no more oppressed than them.”
Khodsiani says that the play was written two years ago, and for the first time, it participated in the 26th Tehran Province Theater Festival last year, and it is currently on stage at Shahrazad Theater Complex.
He has made changes in the play: In order to perform the show, changes were made to play which it did not affect the content, and the final message of the show, that women are often absent in history.”
Khodsiani believes that men are dominant in the history of the nation.
He said: "It seems that men are the dominant people who have written history in the way they wanted. Throughout history and from the beginning of creation, Abel and Cain have been discussed, and there is not even a name for the daughters of Adam and Eve. It's as if women have never played a role in history except sometimes for destruction or wrongdoing.”
He talks about the reason for choosing three women to convey the message of the show: "Initially, I was going to deal with the life of only one character, but I think that dealing with three different characters with three different tones, in addition to the dramatic appeal of the work, provided a good opportunity for the player to show the abilities. to challenge and Elahe khosh-Ghamat, the actress, was able to display all three roles well."
About the presence of the audience, this director said: "Ten people who watch deeply are better than a hundred people who watch something because of the presence of a well-known actor. I prefer a small but thoughtful audience. Maybe if I had chosen a famous actor, many people would come to the hall not to watch the show but to see him, and in that case their time would be wasted because the concept of the work was not important to them.”
