Fars Theater Festival comes to end
Iran Theater-Two plays "Killer Horses" and "unripe fig seeds" were introduced to Fadjr Regional Theater Festival as selected works of the 33rd Fars Theater Festival.
The 33rd theater festival of this province ended last night (Monday, November 29) in Shiraz.
In the closing ceremony of the Fars Theater Festival, Kazem Nazari, Director General of Performing Arts Center, thanked the groups and artists who participated in this edition of the festival.
He said: "According to the rules of provincial festivals, when the number of performance groups is small, the number of works invited to the regional festival will be less. Since only four works were performed in the Fars festival, only one work was supposed to be introduced to the regional festival, but due to the good performances and the diligent follow-up of the Director General of Fars Culture and Islamic Guidance, we decided that 2 groups could compete in the Fadjr regional festival."
Hamidreza Ghanei, Director General of Fars Culture and Islamic Guidance, announced the holding of Fadjr regional theater festival hosted by Shiraz and said: "Holding a regional theater festival in the city of Shiraz is certainly the foundation of good events for performing arts in Fars province."
