Graphic Designer Behzad Gharibpour died

Iran Theater-Behzad Gharibpour, illustrator, graphic designer and theater poster designer, passed away at the age of 65.
Behzad Gharibpour was born in Sanandaj city in 1336 and graduated from the graphic arts department of Tehran University, He establishment "Tino Graphics" studio in 1957, and he pursued his activities in the field of illustration and graphic design and advertising, until 2015.
He taught at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Honar University and dozens of courses and specialized training workshops in illustration, and one of his other activities was book design.
The late Gharibpour has artistic management of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents, Ofogh Publications, Mehrab Qalam, Qadyani, Soroush publication and … as well.
He has also been a member of the jury of many visual festivals from 1989 to 2014, including Tehran Illustration Biennial, Literary Masterpieces Illustration Festival, and Fadjr Visual Arts Festival. He was also a member of the first board of directors in the Iranian Illustrators Society from 2013 to 2014.
Behzad Gharibpour was a member of the jury of Noma prizes, in the UNESCO cultural center in 1999. In 2001, he held a workshop at the invitation of UNESCO in Bratislava, and he was a member of the Jury at 2003 Bratislava Festival.
Gharibpour has twice received the Noma incentive award for the illustration of the book "The Secret of the Bird" in 1988 and the design of the book "Black Panther" in 1994. he was awarded the "Aban" badge by the Iranian Illustrators society in 2016.
