The construction of the central hall of Shiraz to restart

Mohammad -Reza Barekat (Head of the Construction Projects Supervision Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance) attended the construction site of central hall of Shiraz project.

 

Barekat said about the recent visit of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance to the Shiraz Central Hall project and his emphasis on restarting construction: " Since the visit of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, appropriate actions have been taken in this complex and good progress has been made."

 

Mohammad Reza Barekat continued: "The central hall of Shiraz can be considered as one of the most prominent projects of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance."

 

He said: This project "has an exceptional location because it is near the National Garden, Hafez Tomb, Jahannama Garden and the Quran Gate."

 

Mohammadreza Barekat added: "The existence of these tourist and heritage places shows the value of this great project."

The head of the construction projects supervision department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance said: "This project has 18,000 square meters of land and 14,000 square meters of infrastructure, and the construction of parts such as a specialized theater hall, a specialized music hall, a library and a plateau hall is planned in it."

He further stated: "Since the completion of this project is the concern of Shiraz artists, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in October2022, during his trip to Shiraz and visiting this project, emphasized the satisfaction of the artists with the quick implementation and opening of this project."

In the end, Mohammad Reza Barekat added: "Also, on Monday and Tuesday, 19 and 20 December, we visited 10 cities of this province and visited cultural projects in the field of culture and Islamic guidance, which had more than 50% progress, and good decisions were also made for them."

                                                           

The plan of the central hall of Shiraz is located on a land of 18,000 square meters and with an infrastructure design of 20,000 square meters, in the place of the old building of Silo Shahr.

 

  Shiraz Central Hall project was first started in 2010. A conference hall for 2,000 people with a surface area of 4,000 square meters, a gallery for displaying works of art, a room for music and theater rehearsals, a set making workshop, a specialized library, and a storage space for musical instruments have been planned for this complex. When it is built, it will be the largest cultural complex in Shiraz.

 

During the government's provincial visit to Fars, on the 22nd of October 2021, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance promised to consider the funds to start construction operations and complete the central hall of Shiraz.
