Amin Rahbar, director of Radio drama section of FITF:

Income for radio drama needs attention

Iran Theater-Amin Rahbar, the secretary of the radio drama department of the Fadjr International Theater Festival, pointed out the need to pay attention to the income of radio drama.

The radio theater section is held under the management of Amin Rahbar from Jan. 15th in Hoze Honari Hall.

Amin Rahbar explained: "We have two approaches towards radio drama. A radio show based solely on sound, and the second approach is the radio show that uses the visual elements of the stage shows. "

He continued: "The Fadjr International Theater Festival considers the second approach in the radio drama section. In this approach, the use of visual elements such as stage design and using the potential of the stage are important."

"In the radio drama section, the stage design should be in a way that does not harm the sound design and other main elements of the radio theater. In a simpler definition, it can be said that if the audience closes their eyes during the performance; Don't miss anything and if you open your eyes, you will get more than what you hear. "

Rahbar said: "The most important criterion that we deal with in the radio drama section is the live radio show in the presence of the audience."

Referring to the relationship between the audience and the radio drama, he continued: "Fortunately, during the editions of this artistic event, the radio drama has found its audience, and we hope that it will also find its place during the year and public performances."

Referring to the need to generate income in the radio drama sector, this artistic director explained: "From an economic and point of view, this art has not yet become profitable, but definitely, in the performance of radio drama, attention should be paid to its income generation and economy; Because otherwise, this art will disappear by itself."."

He added: "The best way to introduce the radio drama to the audience is the strong support of the General Department of Radio Performing Arts Center, so that people can get to know this performing art as much as possible. At this year's festival, many audiences are getting to know this section for the first time and are already waiting to come to the theater next year to watch radio drama shows. "

The director of the Radio drama section of the Fadjr International Theater Festival explained the details of this section: "At the same time as the announcement of the call of the Radio drama Department, 83 works were sent to the secretariat, and 11 works were accepted by the selection committee. Two plays were also sent to the secretariat from the resistance theater festival section, and currently 13 plays are competing in this section.
