The 2023 FITF is a theater marathon of the cities
Iran Theater-The director of the "Timeless" street show said: The 41st Fadjr International Theater Festival is a theater marathon of cities.
The street show "Timeless" directed by Adineh Rahim-Nezhad will be performed tomorrow Monday (January 30th) for the third time at the 41st FITF in the porch of Valiasr Square.
Adineh Rahim-Nezhad has been active in the theater for many years and she is participating in the 41st Fadjr International Theater Festival with "Timeless" and "Acetaminophen with Codeine Flavor".
The director explained about the theme of the show that is about the beliefs of the people in Gilan province: "The street show "Timeless" is about the beliefs of the people of Gilan, and this story is performed with a combination of several Gilan rituals, these rituals include the ritual of Aroos Barun, Gahwerah Sri , Aal and Each of them contains a separate story, One of today's needs in order to preserve the history of Iranian religion and tradition is to pay attention to authentic Iranian customs, traditions and culture in the society in different artistic ways.
She continued: "We try to depict the very rich culture of the people of Gilan in the show with the practical use of tools, accessories and choreography, because this culture is full of pure and valuable stories."
Rahim-Nezhad pointed out several clear differences between street performances and other types of theater in the country: In the street show, most of the audience is public, also it does not follow the formal frameworks of the theater because it is not limited and does not adhere to deep thoughts, because it deals with the general public and must present to the passing audience in a limited time. But the stage show shows everything on the stage with stage facilities, costumes and lighting.
The director of the "Timeless" street show spoke on the importance of FITF: "The 2023 FITF is a theater marathon of the cities, and the titles that are present in this edition truly show the art of theater to everyone."
The 2023 FITF is underway in Tehran until January 31. The festival is presided over by Iranian actor and director Kourosh Zarei.
