"Academy of Birds" written and directed by Hossein Mazinani, which is a musical show with a humorous mood, will be staged from today February 13 through March 14 at 19:00 at Honar Hall.

Hossein Mazinani has been working in theater for 25 years. He started his career by making children's films and then became director of children's shows. This artist has worked with Majid Ghanad for 15 years.

Hossein Mazinani said that this show will be performed in a biomechanical way: "This work will be staged in a very new way for the first time. The acting method is inspired by Vsevolod Meyerhold, one of the famous and influential Russian artists.

Vsevolod Emilyevich Meyerhold was a Russian and Soviet theatre director, actor and theatrical producer of German descent. His provocative experiments dealing with physical being and symbolism in an unconventional theatre setting made him one of the seminal forces in modern international theatre.

The director of the "Academy of the Birds" pointed out that Charlie Chaplin also got ideas from Vsevolod Meyerhold’s biomechanical method: "This show will be performed in a non-verbal and biomechanical way and in an attractive way for children."

This director explained about the theme of the show: "This show is about time. The element of time was the first and oldest myth in ancient Iran called Zarman, which is known as Cronus in the West. The word chronometer or time meter is also adapted from this myth. "

Hossein Mazinani added: "Life and all the events of life pass in time. This show is a kind of lesson and training for children to manage time and know how to flourish their talents in crises by directing time. "

"In this show, it is shown that we are all involved in a mechanical event and must make certain movements at the top of a certain hour, like the wooden birds that announced the time in the old wall clocks. "Bird Academy" shows how we can use our time in this mechanical space and escape from mechanized and everyday life. "

Hossein Mazinani revealed about the method of selecting the cast: "The cast are professional, patient and skilled people who have been working in children's theater for many years and are familiar with most of the performance methods. In fact, performers are physically fit in this show.
