Branislav Nušić’s A Member of Parliament comes to Iran

Iran Theater –A comedy play by Branislav Nušić- A Member of Parliament- is going on stage in Iran.

Branislav Nušić (20 October [O.S. 8 October] 1864 – 19 January 1938) was a Serbian playwright, satirist, essayist, novelist and founder of modern rhetoric in Serbia. He also worked as a journalist and a civil servant.

He was born as a fourth child to a well-off family of merchant Djordje Nuša and his wife Ljubica on 8th October in Belgrade. They named him Alkibijad. At the time, they lived in Kralja Petra Street in the house situated exactly where the National Bank of Serbia now stands.

Directed and dramatized by Nader Naderpour, this show tells the story of an illiterate landlord who participates in the elections. The show will be on the stage until March 6 in Shahrazad Theater Complex.

The performance of this show has been moved from Shahrzad Hall No. 3 to Hall No. 2 to solve the problem of lack of space for the audience. It’s well received by the  audience.

 Hossein Karami, Nader Naderpour, Alireza (Nima) Qorbanzadeh, Mahyar Zholnouri, Sorour Ebrahimi, Mahshid Godarzi, Mino Manouchehrinia, Mohammadreza Ebrahimi, Azadeh Javid, Milad Zarei, Mahshid Delavari, Masoud Mahmoudi, Reza Farahani and Yashar Inanlo star in the show.

Mahbobeh Nadalipour (assistant director), Mehdi Ebrahimi (programmer), Peyman Shiraghi (production manager), Mehrnaz Abbasi (costume designer) and Alireza Ghadiri (make-up designer) cooperate in the show.
