Hanif Mozafari on “A Few Men and a few women”
The audience advertises a good show

Iran Theater- Hanif Mozafari, the director of the show “A Few Men and a few women” said that the poor quality show will make the audience not come to the theater for several generations, but the audience will definitely promote the shows that they like.
Hanif Mozafari, the theater director, started his career in the 1990s from high school. Since then, he has continuously participated in different festivals and public performances as a playwright, actor and theater director: "Professor Wach", "Men are Angels", "The Upside Down World", "Long 23 Hours", "Red Quotation"
The performance of the play "A few Men, A few Women", written by Rasool Banghin, directed by Hanif Mozafari and produced by Masoud Vala, was extended to the 24th of Feb in Hall No. 3 of Shahrazad Theater Complex.
Hanif Mozafari, Ehsan Sheikhi, Fatemeh Zamani, Nazanin Boyuk, Rasool Ahmadi and Lala Zulfaghari star in the show.
Hanif Mozafari explained story of the show: "Many Men and Many Women" has a very simple story and deals with working class and capitalists with no exaggeration . In fact, we examine the problems of labor and capitalist society.
He added: Everyone protest against the current situation and blame their superiors; But the reality is not like this. Basically, each of them is forced to do things that may be wrong in the opinion of others for their survival. This work is about protesting the existing conditions and waiting for better.
"The show is completely minimalistic, and we tried to remove everything that is unnecessary and useless in the scene, so that the audience's mind is focused on the story and its story," said the director.
The director revealed that six episodes were narrated as monologues in a different structure on the stage with a simple stage design and without heavy make-up and using only elements.
He continued: "We took advantage of spacing in the performance so that the audience can easily relate to the players, because in my opinion, performing a monologue in a narrative form is repetitious."
Mozafari emphasizes that of a monologue show should be different and attractive, "If the monologue is presented in the form of a play within play and in different situations, it will definitely have a more effective connection with the audience."
This artist explained about the reception of the audience to the show: "In the early days of the performance, we were under the influence of the 41st Fadjr International Theater Festival being held at the same time. Of course, we were very happy to hold this artistic event, which is a sign that theater is alive."
He added: I believe that it is possible to see the audience coming to the hall with a good show and to host them with appropriate advertisements. Definitely, the audience will promote the shows they like, and this has also happened to our work, and that's why "A few men and a few women" has been renewed for a second time.
