Behnaz Mehdikhah: Children's show should be full of picture
Iran Theater-Behnaz Mehdikhah stated that the children show should be full of images and said that I always consider all the techniques of the show to be equally strong and effective, and that is why I used each of these techniques in the performance of "My Imaginary World".
Behnaz Mehdikhah, actress, puppeteer ,started her career by working in children and teenagers shows.
She has appeared in various shows as an actress or puppeteer, such as "Nim Vajabi", "Be Your Own Scarecrow", "Four Boxes of Happiness".
Mehdikhah has previously produced and directed a series in six separate episode called "Gol Baghali" with puppet show technique for children at the center for intellectual development of children and adolescents( Kanoon).
This artist has directed the show "My Imaginary World" for the young adult and children age group, which is her first directing experience without marquee technique.
"My Imaginary World" is the story of a child artist whose world is colored by an event. And the child comes to the conclusion that the color of people's world is different from each other. Now the child depicts the transformation of a black and white world into a colorful world with the help of puppet.
Mehdikhah explained the performance method of "My Imaginary World": "This show is narrated with different puppet techniques such as finger puppets, shadow puppets and marionettes."
Stating that work for children is much more difficult than work for adults, this artist explained: "Directing and producing a show for children and teenagers is very difficult, and in addition to directing, I am also a puppeteer, actress and voice actress in this show, so my job has become a little more difficult. Of course, I am interested in both puppetry and acting, and it has always been my ideal to deal with these two arts together, which was possible in this performance. So I tried my best for a strong performance."
