"Who Laughed Last" to be performed at Tehran Theater Complex

Iran Theater- The staged reading performance of "Who Laughed Last" will be on stage at Tehran Theater Complex on March 12.

Farhad Besharti will direct this stage reading which is based on Nellie McCaslin’s work.

McCaslin was often recognized as the leading authority in the United States on children's theater. Educated at what is now Case Western University, she earned a B.A. in 1936 and an M.A. in 1937. Nellie McCaslin, a theater historian and educator considered the country's leading authority on children's theater, died on Feb, 2005.

This work is translated by Hossein Fadaei-Hossein in the form of the final project for students of  Tehran theater school, which will be on stage today (Sunday, March 12). The play is based on a Polish legend.

It tells the story of an old clown who was kicked out of the palace and retired with his wife and exiled to a cabin in the forest, and  then a new adventure begins for them.

This play reading will be take place on March 12, at 19:00 in the hall of Professor Jamshid Mashayekhi of Tehran Theater Complex.                                                      

The performance is duty free.
