Lotfi Moghadam to Iran Theater:
After Tehran, Mashhad is the best theater hub in Iran

Iran Theater-Mohammad Ali Lotfi -Moghadam, a veteran stage artist, believes that Mashhad is the best theater center in Iran after Tehran. He thanked Khorasan theater artists for the effective and continuous activists , despite economic problems.
Mohammad Ali Lotfi -Moghadam, a pioneer of Khorasan theater, became familiar with theater and became interested in this art form his elementary school days. After gaining experience in acting and passing training courses, he started his professional activity in teaching, research and theater management.
Lotfi -Moghadam said about the first time he became familiar with the fine arts: "Many things in life are always happened accidentally and become a part of human possessions and desires little by little. My encounter with the theater was like this."
He continued: From elementary school to high school, I performed with my friends on stage. At that time, we prepared a place to perform together at home and invited the neighbors to be our audiences. However, my main motivation was to pursue the theater professionally when I met Mr. Mashallah Vahidi, one of the veteran artists of the Khorasan. He was supposed to stage a show in Sabzevar, but one of the actors was unable to attend, and Mr. Vahidi entrusted me with playing the role only two days before the performance. Acting in this show helped me to learn self-confidence and concentration in acting on the theater stage.
Referring to his activity as a theater teacher, he explained: "I was assigned to teach theater in the Ministry of Guidance, and therefore, with some of my colleagues, we advertised for admission of students just like the university entrance exam, and everyone from a simple worker to a university professor participated in this exam. some were selected and trained as students of Khorasan Theater Training Center. The first people who registered at the Khorasan Theater Center became Iranian theater masters; People like actor Firouz Sabbaghi and theater writer Reza Saberi.
Stating that the theater in Mashhad has a rich and acceptable background, he said: " we focused on the integration of theater groups in khorasan Theater Center as well as training students. The companionship and solidarity of the artists in this center made when artists who come to Mashhad from Tehran and other cities to admit that after Tehran, Mashhad is the best theater center in Iran, and now there are five active theater groups rented five yards and turned them into halls and staged a performance every night."
The artist continued: "Despite all the economic difficulties, Khorasan theater artists continue their activities with love, and fortunately, economic restrictions have not affected the quality of their works."
