Iran Theater- Seyed Saleh Hosseini, the director of the "American Buffalo" show, said that Tehran Theater Complex has very good halls in terms of quality and facilities , but unfortunately, theater artists do not pay attention to the Complex and rarely visit here.
Seyed Saleh Hosseini is one of the directors of the show "American Buffalo", which will be staged from April 30 in the Ostad Mohammad Pardis Hall of Tehran Theater Complex.
American Buffalo is a 1975 play by American playwright David Mamet that had its premiere in a showcase production at the Goodman Theatre, Chicago.
Saleh Hosseini said: "This play is written by David Mammet, which I and Haniyeh Rahimi chose when we were looking for a play to perform. Of course, at the beginning , our main concern was to be able to perform this play well on stage because of the context, which fortunately we have achieved it ."
He continued: Rahimi and I are co -directing American Buffalo"; We have been working together since 2013, but we have never participated in a project as co -directors. In fact, the show "American Buffalo" made a new interaction for us.
Hosseini added: "The colleagues of Tehran Theater Complex helped us a lot to prepare and produce this show. They have beem with us during the rehearsals and also share good ideas and tips to improve and improve the quality of the performance. In the advertising department of the show, they have made arrangements for us to install the "American Buffalo" banner and billboard for better promotion, and they have also made the necessary interaction and cooperation with news agencies and theatrical media.
Regarding financial support for their new show, Saleh Hosseini added: "We have not received financial support so far, but the cost of the theater was fixed with us as a percentage, which is definitely a good condition for young theater groups, because some theaters strangely charge fee for artists and theater groups. Fortunately, we have now spent the amount we had determined for the hall rent and advertising, which is considered a form of financial support for us."
In the end, this director said: "We as stage artists should study and research more. We should try to perform by measuring the audience and paying more attention to the quality of our works; Of course, the support of governmental and private centers and organizations also has a significant impact on the quality of shows."
