A memorandum of cooperation between Khuzestan dramatic Arts Association and Basra Theater Association

Iran Theater-The cooperation agreement between Khuzestan dramatic Arts Association and Basra Theater Association was signed in the presence of Kazem Nazari, Director General of dramatic Arts in Ahvaz city.

The memorandum of cooperation between the two provinces of Iran and Iraq was signed and exchanged by Ahmad Al-Shamai (Chairman of Basra Theater Association) and Mohammad Yaghootpour (Chairman of Khuzestan dramatic Arts Association) with the aim of strengthening the cultural and artistic power of Iranian and Iraqi artists.

This memorandum was signed on the sidelines of the meeting of the heads of Khuzestan dramatic Arts Association in the presence of the Director General of dramatic Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

Some of the main goals of the memorandum include taking advantage of useful and influential experiences, reviving some forgotten forms of performing arts, discovering new artistic methods, as well as the interaction and strengthening of cultural and artistic relations between the two countries.

Kazem Nazari said: "In order to expand the cooperation between Iranian and Iraqi artists, this memorandum was signed between Basra and Khuzestan, and we hope that good things can happen in cultural exchanges."

He added: "The Ministry of Guidance also supports this memorandum and like last year, we will have theater productions in Iraq. I hope the good artists of the two countries will benefit from this memorandum."

Mohammad Yaghootpour, head of Khuzestan dramatic Arts Association, said: Signing this memorandum is a pleasure. The cultural affinity of Khuzestan province and Basra province can be the basis for the exchange of performances between Iran and Iraq. Holding the International Arabic Theater Festival is one of the honors of the dramatic Arts Association of Khuzestan Province, and the signed memorandum can add to its richness and create good days for the theater teachers and artists, as well as the exchange of experiences between the two countries.

Ahmed Al-Shamai, the head of the Basra Theater Association, pointed to the cultural capacities of Iran and Iraq: We hope to use this memorandum in a good way and have good performances in both countries.
