Translation of modern German plays for performance in Iran

Iran Theater- Behrouz Qanbar-hosseini, the translator of the book "Modern German Plays", said that in Iran, like other countries, plays should be read after they are printed so that directors can get to know new works and decide to perform them more easily.

The Qatreh Publishing House has published the collection play of books "Modern German Plays" translated by Behrouz Ghanbar-Hosseini, translator and theater researcher.

This collection includes 10 modern German plays that were first published as a single volume and now published in the form of a collection book and E-book version is also available.

Behrouz Qanbar-Hosseini, the translator of "Modern German Plays", explained about the book: These plays, which were presented for the first time in Iran, are the works of 10 contemporary and postmodern German playwrights, which were written in the last 15 years and they have been performed in the best theaters in Germany.

This translator explains: Postmodern plays mostly refer to social, philosophical, human and even family themes. In these plays, man's loneliness in society and other issues related to postmodern man are considered. The absence of a hero and story in the form of classical plays is another characteristic of these plays.

Modern German plays, which were published for the first time in Iran, are among the works of 10 contemporary writers of this country

He continues: "Certainly, the performance of foreign translated works can help Iranian artists to understand the structure of this type of performance."

Emphasizing the different concepts of post-modern dramatic works, this theater researcher adds: "The written structure of this type of drama is also different. Each of the 10 plays in the "Modern German Plays" collection is written with its own structure.
