An Iranian Troupe at Theater Festival in Austria
Accompanied by an Iranian troupe, Ali Zafar Qahremani Nejad is going to the Theater Festival of Confrontation in Austria. IRAN THEATER – Late October a troupe called Theater of Communication is going to depart for Vienna with a stage production titled “The Voice of Devil”.
Based on the techniques of Augusto Boal, the play is realized by a cast contains Stire Mortezayi, Qazale Kanan Panah, Majid Amini, Golrokh Brojerdi, and Naqme Yazdan Panah.
“Last year, the actors were chosen via a workshop and learnt the techniques.” Ali Zafar Qahremani Nejad said. “Passing 11 rounds, Theater Festival of Confrontation is one of the high ranked theater festivals of communication.”
The productions will be staged during 4 first days of the festival and a seminar will take place through 6 following days.
Qahremani Nejad has translated “Legislative Theatre” by Augusto Boal, published by Bid Gol press. He is also waiting his translation of the last work of Boal “The Aesthetics of the Theater of Communication” to be released.
