Ghotbeddin Sadeghi: Protecting the cultural image of the City Theater Complex is a necessity
Iran Theater- Ghotbedin Sadeghi , an Iranian theatre director, playwright, stage and film actor, and arts instructor said that he is happy with the plan to clean the outer area of the city theater complex and spoke about the need to protect the cultural image, unique architecture and importance of this complex.
The execution of the clean-up plan of the City Theater Complex, after a long time and according to the repeated requests of the artists and the follow-ups of the General Department of Dramatic Arts and the Vice-Chancellor of Art Affairs, have just been implemented.
Sadeghi said: City Theater Complex is similar to the theater temple of Iran. Arguably, this Complex is the creative engine of Iranian theater and the cultural and artistic model of the country, which no one has the right to abandon with ugly and careless images.
He continued: Unfortunately the cultural image of this complex has destroyed drastically, in recent years due to the presence of cultural and artistic disturbances.
While expressing his happiness about cleaning the area around the complex, this artist added: In my opinion, after cleaning the area of the City Theater complex, the first step is fencing. Cultural managers should not let the cultural totality of this area become a place of activity for profiteers.
Sadeghi continued: "Peddlers are definitely honorable and another area should be considered for them in order to continue their job; But at the same time, the privacy of the City Theater Complex is not the space for light businesses and the activities of people whose presence has resulted in moral and social problems in this place.
He added: Fencing should be done in order to protect the overall exterior architecture of the city theater complex. It is necessary to protect this cultural space with a safe fence.
