The General Department of Dramatic Arts joins WMO

As the same time as  the holding of the International Mime Festival and 100th birthday of the legendary mime artist, Marcel Marceau, and the 125th birthday of Etienne Decroux , the General Department of Dramatic Arts is a member  of WMO for the first time with the efforts of the International relation Department.
The World Mime Organization has started on March 22, 2011 at the birth day of the French artist Marcel Marceau and  it has started its cooperation with the International Theater Institute ITI by forming a physical theater group since 2017.
Marcel Marceau had a trip to Iran in 1973 and performed some of his most beautiful pieces as Bip the Clown in Vahdat Hall.
WMO  organizes special world mime conferences as well as combined conferences (including mime arts and other dramatic arts).
The World Mime Organization educates mime artists by holding educational workshops and master classes in partnership with theater centers around the world every year.
The member countries of the  World Mime Organization are from four continents, and the headquarters of WMO is in the city of Belgrade, Serbia.
