Abolfazl Poorarab to direct Othello

Iran Theater- Abolfazl Poorarab, a well-known and veteran actor, will direct Shakespeare's Othello which is one of his four great tragedies.
He started selecting the cast for the play "Othello" written by William Shakespeare.
After 20 years, Abolfazl Poorarab directs the play "Othello" in Vahdat Hall. He has been preparing this show for performance since last year; However, due to the changes in the dates of Vahdat Hall's performances, the schedule has been reconsidered so that "Othello" will be on stage for 40 nights.
In the 2000s, Abolfazl Poorarab had directed the play "The Miser" written by Moliere in Vahdat Hall, and since then he had planned to direct "Othello", but this work was postponed for nearly 20 years.
Alireza Taghipour, who is producer of the show, said: Currently, Poorarab is choosing the cast for the theater, and the cast of this show have not been officially announced.
Taghipour added: He has almost chosen the main actors of this show, and the cast are completed, the rehearsals will begin. Hopefully, we will be able to perfrom this show before starting the photography of documentary "Dog".
Abolfazl Poorarab is a 62 year old actor and director who has been working for more than four decades in cinema and theater.
