Molière’s Le Médecin malgré lui comes to Tehran
Iran Theater-The play " Le Médecin malgré lui " by Moliere, a famous French writer, translated by Dariush Mo'addabian, will be staged at Da Hall.
The director of the show is Sohail Jamshidi. After directing several stage readings, He has chosen Moliere's outstanding work with a social-critical approach for his debut experience.
Le Médecin malgré lui is a farce by Molière first presented in 1666 at le théâtre du Palais-Royal by la Troupe du Roi. The play is one of several plays by Molière to center on Sganarelle, a character that Molière himself portrayed, and is a comedic satire of 17th century French medicine. Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known by his stage name Molière, was a French playwright, actor, and poet, widely regarded as one of the great writers in the French language and world literature. His extant works include comedies, farces, tragicomedies, comédie-ballets, and more.
The show will be opened on September 28 in Hall No. 1 of Da Theater, and ticket sales will start on Tuesday, September 19 via Tiwal and Cinema Ticket websites.
