Mitra Tavakolpour: We should not forget the critical nature of Ru-howzi and Siah bazi shows

Iran Theater- Mitra Tavakolpour, the director whose latest work was accepted in the International Traditional and Ritual Theater Festival, said that the characteristic of these shows, especially Ru-howzi and Siah bazi, is critical approach and this feature should not be neglected.

Mitra Tavakolpour, who competes with the show "Devi's Wedding" in the puppet show section of the 21st Ritual and Traditional Theater Festival emphasized that  there is necessity of making the research part of this event stronger to deal with rituals and traditions that have been neglected or forgotten.

This artist considered holding different sections in the provinces as a pleasant task.

She emphasized on the continuation of such a procedure in the  next editions  and spoke about the necessity of addressing the method of holding the festival in the call :This creates the basis for the planning and preparation of the groups for participation , and There is  hope in the coming years, it will be noticed by the participants and planners of the festival.

She considered the presentation of different cultures, rituals and traditions as the most important and main advantage of this international event and added: "Presentation of the traditional techniques of each region provides the basis for more creativity of artists and performance groups, and on the other hand, the groups will get to know each other and other cultures and this doubles the charms of the festival.

Mitra Tavakolpour, who participated in the past edition of the festival with the "Mubarak Wedding", believes that this section of the festival should be competitive: Even with the audience's choice award, this facilities can be provided for the performance of plays in different provinces, so that the display of different cultures and rituals in different provinces becomes widespread.
