Nima Goodarzi: If the young people are not supported, they will leave

Iran Theater-Nima Goodarzi, the director and playwright of "Blacks Slaughter Malcolm X", says that if young people are not supported materially and spiritually, they will leave.

Theater director and playwright Nima Goodarzi is directing the show "Blacks slaughter Malcolm X" which is a free adaption of The Blacks: A Clown Show by the French dramatist Jean Genet.

He said: The show "Blacks slaughter Malcolm X" is a free  interpretation of the play " The Blacks: A Clown Show " which is performed in an avant-garde and modern way. Its combination with Malcolm X is to show the issue of racism and mental differences in everyday life. Another example is the current situation in the Middle East, where if you don't have those powers, you will be eliminated.

He continued: "In the midst of these wars, children and women are sacrificed and nothing is left."

The artist explained about the cast: The show "Black people slaughter Malcolm X" is staged with the presence of young theater artists, who are mostly students. Now these young people are studying art and have studied; We should not only promote entrepreneurship in industrial fields, now considering that many artists are studying in universities, I felt it necessary to cast them in the show.

He believes that the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Ministry of Science and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs should plan for young artists from now on: if young people are not supported materially and spiritually, they will give up and leave, the expert will leave. I believe that Iranian theater students should step onto the theater stage, but not at any cost. Good universities and art schools in Iran have very good outputs in the field of theater art and these students need hope and visibility. I know very good theater students who have now abandoned their major and became taxi driver. These are not in their place
