Qazvin Theater Festival crowns the winners
Iran Theater- The 25th Qazin Theater Festival took place in Qazvin city and the shows "Kapotage" directed by Morteza Najafi and "The Story of Nader Khan and some unreliable narrations from Zari Khanum" directed by Maisam Molazinel took home the main awards in stage section.
The 25th Qazvin Theater Festival concluded on Friday 17 November after 5 days run of some finest stage production of province.
Some officials and theater directors attended the closing ceremony: Kazem Nazari (Director General of Dramatic Arts of Iran), Abdul-Rahim Afrogh (Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Qazvin Province) and Amir Molahasan ( artistic director of Qazvin Theater Festival).
Kazem Nazari pointed out that municipality and city council supports theater all over the world because it is considered a social service for the people: "I request Qazvin municipality to take more serious action in building suitable places for theater."
Kazem Nazari also pointed to the good performances of the theater artists of the province and the enthusiastic reception of the audience and added: "Dr. Behrouz Gharibpour is a highly educated person in the field of drama and a great teacher in the field of theater in Iran, and his presence in the jury offers the high level of the theater festival of the province."
The general director of Dramatic Arts continued: "In the next few months, the city of Qazvin will host the Mystics International (Sahebdelan) Theater Festival; Therefore, I request all the provincial and city officials to set up theaters in the province as soon as possible and make them available to theater troupes ."
