Davood Kianian Retrospective Set at Iranian Artists Forum

This meeting will be held on Friday November 24 from 17:00 to 19:00   at Iran Artists Forum.

Davood Kianian is a playwright,  theater director, teacher and researcher  who is born on 1942 in Mashhad. His artistic career are divided into two parts. In this meeting, the first part of his life and artistic career, which includes writing and directing, has been discussed. But since 1991, he has focused more on playwriting and research in the field of children and youth theater. In 1991, Kianian was appointed as the director of Theater Production and Puppet Theater of the Center for Intellectual Education of Children and Adolescents in Tehran.

In 2008, he received the first degree of art (equivalent to a doctorate) from the Council for the Evaluation of Artists of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and the specialized center of Children's Theater of the Intellectual Development Center for Children and Adolescents in Mashhad is named after him. Dawood Kianian has worked for many years in the field of teaching and training  new generation, and he is considered one of the most influential teachers of Mashhad and Iran.
