Ebrahim Poshtkoohi to direct Politically Harmless

This is the first comedy show by Ebrahim Poshtkoohi, which will be staged in Iranshahr Theater in January and February, 2024.

                     

His inspiration for his new show is an Iranian novel, and he has adapted the novel "The Agent of Strange Deaths" written by Hessam Heydari  for his new show. The story takes place in a fantasy world and it is the first Poshtkoohi comedy show after 26 years of writing and directing theater.

The main character, Zeinal Ghairbandari, is an experienced professional killer, but he works in a murder firm that hasn't been called to order a murder for two months, and this unemployment has made him nervous.

This postmodern show refers to many  movies and literature.

His latest show was "Macbeth Zar". The show had went to stage at the Avignon Festival and GITIS International Institute of Russia , Saint Petersburg Festival as well as other festivals in Armenia, Azerbaijan and India. It won the best director, best music and best costume design awards from the 2023 FITF and the Grand Prize of the Baghdad International Festival.
