Jahangir Almasi: I support regional theater festivals

Iran Theater-Jahangir Almasi, a veteran actor, stated that young artists have no other venue than regional theater festivals to present themselves, and called himself a promoter of these artistic events.
The 28th regional theater festival of Iran is being held in the city of Mashhad as Khavaran regional festival.
This festival will be held from Jan.1-4 in Razavi Khorasan province with the participation of artists from eight provinces.
Jahangir Almasi is an Iranian actor. He has played different roles in his career, but he is known mainly as an actor who plays serious and intellectual roles. He started his career with Stemming from Blood and has also directed films as well.
He said about the importance of holding regional theater festivals: "The duty of officials in all art organizations is to survive the theater and this art. They should try to preserve this valuable art without paying attention to the strengths and weaknesses of the shows. "
The artist continued: "We are witnessing the presence of talented young people in regional festivals, who promise a very good future for theater."
Almasi clarifed: "I am one of those people who promote regional theater festivals and I want permission to be the ambassador of this event, because our youth have no other venue to present themselves and show their talent."
The artist added: "I also suggest the young people to use the experience of the generation before them. We must have a way for intellectual and cultural maneuver and festivals provide this possibility."
