In the name of God

I welcome all artists and valuable guests to the 42^nd Fadjr International Theater Festival. This year, we have all gathered together with the slogan of "Hope, Joy and Empathy.

Theater is an art full of human and artistic concepts. It connects hearts. Theater is promising and hopeful. On the stage of the theater beyond all the darkness, suffering, fatigue and loneliness; there is a clear light, a light of hope that brings enthusiasm and happiness. A hope that is not vain to become, as Ibsen said, a cancer of the soul, but a healing hope. I hope all the artists and spectators of this festival, next to each other, in the theater stages and on the street create beautiful moments of solidarity and harmony.

I wish watching the shows in this festival, for minutes or hours or even many days; creates a beautiful smile on the face of the audience; A smile originating from knowledge and wisdom that is a manifestation of human and moral values.

The 42nd Fajr International Theater Festival has began its work on Wednesday, January 27^th, with the performance and screening of Radio  drama and television theater shows.

The opening ceremony of the festival will be held at 18:30 on January 20^th , in Ostad Nazerzadeh Kermani Venue.
