The performance of "Blood" was dedicated to Pari Saberi

Iran Theater- The performance of "Blood" directed by Hossein Ghasemi- Honar was dedicated to Pari Saberi, a veteran writer and director of Iranian theater.

The production team of "Blood"  dedicated their performance last night (Thursday, Feb.8) to her. Pari Saberi is a veteran playwright and director and she is born on March 21, 1932 in Kerman city.

Pari Saberi is an Iranian drama and theatre director and Knight of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, awarded by French President Jacques Chirac. She studied at Vaugirard Cinematography College which is one of the famous cinematographic higher education institutes of France. Saberi is the winner of UNESCO’s 2003 Avicenna Award as well.

Saberi’s plays are mostly based on stories from classical Persian literature including ‘Rostam and Esfandyar’, ‘Layla and Majnun’ and ‘Yusuf (Joseph) and Zulaikha’.

The play ‘Flying Shams’ directed by veteran theater director Pari Saberi had been on stage at Sa’dabad Complex in northern Tehran in mid July, 2017.

She has not been active in the theater for several years due to illness.

 

There are paintings in the performance of "Blood" that were drawn by child labor at the request of the executive group of the show, and after each performance, the paintings are bought by the audience.
