Mahmoudreza Rahimi is set to make his comeback to the theater

Iran Theater- The director of the show "Once upon a time Samangan", Mahmoudreza Rahimi, stated that he has never been away from theater and directing.

He said that show "Once upon a Time Samangan" is a combination of reality and fantasy of people in the neighborhood who witness social-family events as well as the attack of missiles and enemy fighters every day.

Mahmoudreza Rahimi, playwright, actor, teacher and theater director, will soon stage the show "Once upon a time Samangan" in Chaharsoo Hall, City Theater Complex.

"It's been about seven years since I worked  as stage director," he said about his return to the stage as a director. “But I have never been away from directing and theater, and I have focused mostly on teaching and guiding students in order to achieve a complete performance and go on stage, and fortunately, during this period, many of my students' works have been performed in public."

He went on to say: "I have always had a problem with the fact that performances and halls must be reserved in advance. Because I don't know how a director can set an earlier performance time for his work. Whenever I have a complete work, I will announce it and whenever I have the opportunity to perform, I will go on stage. We were supposed to perform Once Upon a Time in Samangan in another hall, but some people had reserved the hall before us. Our team was also able to prepare the performance for Chahrsoo Hall with the help of the management of Tehran city Theater.”

The director of the show "Once Upon a Time in Samangan" explained: "Rehearsals for this show started about a year and a half ago. This show is a return to the workshop works of Nyusha Theater troupe. In most of the performances, we work as a family, basically, my wife and I, Bahram Sarvarinejad and his wife, Javad Sedaghat and his wife, and other friends are with us to some extent in the same way. We started rehearsals gradually from 6 hours a week until the last month when Rehearsals became daily."
