Hamidreza Naeimi: Kurdish theater is like a strong tree

Iran Theater-Hamidreza Naeimi, the jury of the 18th Saqqez Kurdish Theater Festival, compared the Kurdish theater as a strong tree that is rooted in the soil of this border and is considered it as part of the identity and of this city, he believed that the continuation of this festival is important for artists.

The 18th Kurdish Theater Festival of Saqqez is underway from February 18 -22 with the plan of creating social enthusiasm and celebration of famous artists.

Hamidreza  Naeimi is an Iranian theater actor and director who has also played roles in cinema and television in recent years. Naeimi recently directed Schmitt’s “Frederick” at City Theater of Tehran.

Hamidreza Naeimi, the jury of the 18th Kurdish Theater Festival, considered the feature of this festival to include all the Kurdish cities with all the regional customs and create a place for the exchange of culture of the Kurdish regions.

 

He went on to say: "It is very important for all of us  as artists and the festival becomes more international every year."

                                                             

Naeimi added:" The budgets allocated to this important festival should be for the dignity of the Kurdish art, because whether you want it or not, this festival is the cradle of Kurdish theater, and it doesn't matter what ethnicity or minority it is."

 

Hamidreza Naeimi also said: "We all have a duty to work for the progress of this festival like a big family. I personally thank all those who work hard for the organization and sustainability of this festival, despite all the difficulties and hardships, and I wish for the stability of the Kurdish Theater Festival. "

 

12 theater groups are present in the Festival, which includes 8 local troupes and 4 foreign troupes from the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
