Atabak Naderi : Iran Theater Museum should be established

Iran Theater- Atabek Naderi says that various departments of the General Directorate of Dramatic Arts have tried to preserve and maintain the documents, books and photos of Iranian theater in these years so that one day a museum will be opened.

Atabak Naderi is one of the artists who has been trying to collect old documents and photos of Iran's theater in these years.

Also, he is one of the officials of the General Department of Dramatic Arts, who has always tried and stressed on the reopening of the former building of the theater department.

At the beginning, Naderi said about the letters written for the revival of the former building of the theater department: "It was last year that as a consultant of the General Department of Dramatic Arts, I prepared a report that was sent to the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, stating The building of the theater administration has a special history and identity and has introduced famous artists to the society, and its closure is sad for theatergoers. And another point is that this building is located in the 12th district of Tehran and in the old and tourist district, near Roudaki, and it is very good that it becomes a museum of Iranian theater.”

He continued: "We tried our best to start the theater museum in Tehran; Maybe more than 4 or 5 ministers were changed, but no one paid attention to the theater museum. In these few years, the Mahbod building and the Nasr theater building in Lalezar were bought for the theater museum, but still nothing happened. Kazem Nazari, Director General of Performing Arts, followed up and the order to start the project of renovation the building of the former theater administration was given by Minister of Culture, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, and with the presence of the deputy of artistic affairs and the deputy of human resources development of the ministry, they decided to implement this project."
