Hadi Marzban: The approval of the National Theater Foundation was the biggest gift
Iran Theater-Hadi Marzban, the veteran theater director, said that the approval of the National Theater Foundation was the biggest gift to active Iranian theater artists, and said that he hope that in the new Persian year none of the theater artists will worry about earning a living so that they can shine on the theater stage without any worries.
At the beginning of his speech, Hadi Marzban congratulated Nowruz and the spring season: "I hope that in the new persian year none of the children of the theater will be sad so that they can be present on the stage of the theater comfortably and without worries."
The artist, who has been directing Iranian plays on various halls for four decades, continued: "The approval of the National Theater Foundation was the biggest gift not only for me, but I also for all stage artists active."
He believes that the National Theater Foundation should be recognized as a supporter of the big and national theaters of Iran: "Many artists and many valuable and important Iranian plays have not been able to perform due to the lack of conditions, but if the foundation will help artists, surely these works will be performed."
Marzban continued: "This foundation should be a supporter of artists. Definitely a decent budget should be allocated for the sole purpose of producing works for artists, so that no director is discouraged from continuing to work due to economic problems.”
